What we do

The Hands of Christ Ministry's mission stands on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ's Ministry of empowering the disenfranchised, helping those that can't help themselves, and giving to the needy. At the time, the founders of the Ministry began by hosting a Wednesday night bible study. That has evolved into a holistic ministry that encourages the oppressed with spiritual, social, emotional, and financial needs. The Hands of Christ Ministry founders recognized the need for a more holistic approach that includes spirituality rooted in Jesus Christ, and current programs designed to help the homeless and disenfranchised populations in the general DMV area.  

The Ministry provides limited resources for those in need and as we grow will eventually provide more resources to more individuals and families in Northern Virginia. Through generous donations, The Hands of Christ Ministry gives money for winter coats, meals, and other essential resources. These resources include laundry access, personal care items, blankets, family fun and engagement programs, small groups, computer access, and assistance for at-risk and homeless individuals searching for a shelter or other available resources. The ultimate goal of our giving is to help the individual see God's moving Hand in their situation.
